‘One Tree Hill’ actor dies at 35, cause of death revealed: Buzz

Former “One Tree Hill” star Paul Teal is dead at age 35, his reps and fiancée, Emilia Torello, have announced.
“Paul, you were my soulmate, my soon-to-be-husband, my rock, and my future,” Torello, wrote on Instagram Monday. “You filled my lungs with laughter, my stomach with butterflies, and my heart with love. You were taken too soon, in a battle that you fought bravely without fail.”
Teal died Friday after a battle with stage 4 neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer, Torello told TMZ. He had been diagnosed just seven months earlier.
“While a part of me died with you, I promise to fight to find joy in life as hard as you fought to live every single day,” she added.
Teal was best known for playing the closeted actor Josh Avery on season 7 of The CW series “One Tree Hill” in 2010.
“Sending love and prayers to @paulteal family and friends,” said Jana Kramer, who played Paul’s onscreen girlfriend Alex, on Instagram. “I had the absolute pleasure working with him on season 7 of ‘OTH.’ He was always so kind and was so fun to work alongside.”
“Incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Paul Teal,” co-star Sophia Bush wrote in an Instagram Story. “We are just starting to watch his ‘OTH’ episodes on @dramaqueensoth and he’s such a talent.”
Teal’s acting credits also included “Deep Water” with Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas, plus “Fear Street: Part Two – 1978″ and appearances on TV shows like “Dynasty,” “The Walking Dead: World Beyond,” “Outer Banks,” “George & Tammy,” “Good Behavior” and “The Staircase.” He’s next scheduled to appear in “Lilly” with Patricia Clarkson, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and the Starz television series “The Hunting Wives.”
A public memorial is in the works, a rep said.
